Gov.Lenku rescues Kajiado woman trapped in Abu Dhabi
GOVERNOR Lenku EVACUATES MAASAI GIRL TRAPPED IN ABU DHABI; PAYS HER AIR TICKET TO KENYA. A 23 year old girl from Kajiado has arrived in the country after a harrowing tale of mistreatment in Abu Dhabi, the Capital City of United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Lillian Rimanto, 23, arrived in the country yesterday after 8 months of efforts to return to the country after her personal belongings and identification documents were confiscated by her rogue employer.
It took a secret visit to Dubai by Governor Joseph Ole Lenku
last month to negotiate her evacuation to Kenya by the Kenyan Embassy in UAE through Ambassador Kariuki Mugwe.
Rimanto went to UAE last year and had only worked for one year before she fell out with her employer, forcing her to run away from her employer and seek refuge in a locality where several Kenyans live.
After Governor Lenku worked around her evacuation, he paid for her air ticket, enabling her to arrive in the country today.
