What Diaspora Parents Should Consider
The best choice depends on your child—not simply a school’s reputation. Before enrolling, compare:
• Curriculum: Will it align with your child’s previous schooling and future plans?
• Total costs: Consider tuition, admission charges, transport, meals, uniforms and boarding.
• Student support: Ask about counselling, learning assistance and support during relocation.
• Location: Assess travel times, transport arrangements and proximity to family.
• Boarding and safety: Review supervision, medical care and communication with parents abroad.
• Future pathways: Check the qualifications offered and support for university applications.
Finding the Right Fit
For diaspora families, schooling in Kenya can bring together international education and a closer connection to home. The goal is to find a school where your child can learn confidently, feel supported and develop a sense of belonging.
This is a shortlist, not an official ranking. Schools appear in no particular order. Confirm current curricula, fees, age ranges and admission requirements directly with each institution.
