Christopher Mureithi Mwichigi
Dear Friends,
We wish to make a sincere plea from the Harambee Committee, a collective of Family, people of goodwill, and friends committed to assisting our friend and a dear member of our community – Christopher Mureithi Mwicigi.
Chris is not just a name; he’s a husband to Elizabeth Gacau Mureithi, a loving father of two beautiful children, a cherished friend, and a proud veteran of the United States Armed Forces – ARMY.
In April of 2023, Chris received a diagnosis that no one should ever have to face – Hodgkin’s lymphoma stage 3 Cancer. Since then, he has been on a courageous journey, undergoing chemotherapy treatments at Umass. Our prayers and optimism are firmly rooted in the belief that Chris can overcome this battle and the cancer will go into remission.
Today, we stand at a crossroads, presented with an opportunity to make a profound difference in Chris’s life. We want to support Chris not only emotionally but also with the financial means necessary to cover his mounting living expenses, and bills. We want to be there for him during this challenging time, ensuring that he can focus on his recovery without the burden of financial stress.
Chris is not just a fighter in the face of illness; he is a pillar of our community. He has been a long-time member of the Kenya Catholic Community and Friends (KCCF) and actively involved in the Catholic Mens Association (CMA). His dedication to his community and his service in the military exemplify the values we hold dear.
Let us not wait until it’s too late to show our love and support. As the saying goes, “Buy me a flower when I am alive!!” Let’s give Chris that metaphorical rose while he can still enjoy its sweet fragrance.
We are planning a Harambee event to rally together for this cause. Details for date and location to follow soon. We invite you all to join us on this day of unity and compassion, where we can come together as a community to make a difference in Chris’s life. https://chat.whatsapp.com/J0WMXUQPZnJ2STXmi7psuA
