Family Appeals for Funds to Repatriate Body of Kenyan Man Who Died in a Hotel Room in New York

The family and friends of a Kenyan man who passed away in the US recently is appealing for financial assistance to repatriate his remains to Kenya.

27-year-old Edwin Wambugu Kiarago died suddenly in a hotel in New York while on travel for work.

His family and close friends managed to transfer his body to a funeral home in Springfield, Massachusetts, from where it will be airlifted to Kenya for final burial rites.

Wambugu was the only hope of his struggling family in Kenya and was raised by a singer mother, who is currently ailing.

Family and friends are appealing to well-wishers to help raise the funds required to repatriate his remains to Kenya.
