DV-2021 Green Card Lottery Results to beAvailable Online Starting Sat, June 6, 2020
Results of the DV-2021 Green Card lottery (Diversity Visa) will be available online starting on Saturday, June 6, 2020.
The State Department, which runs the program, had initially announced the results would be available starting on May 5, 2020, but the results were delayed by a month due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic.
To check if they won the lottery, entrants will be required to have their confirmation number, last/family name, and birth year.
The results are for entrants who registered for the lottery in the period October 2nd, 2019 and November 5th, 2019.
The Diversity Visa program makes 50,000 green cards (permanent resident visas) available to nationals of countries with low immigration rates to the United States in the last five years.
For DV-2021, nationals of the following countries were not eligible to participate in the program because they had a higher rate of immigration to the US than the 50,000 annual threshold: Bangladesh, Brazil, Canada, China (mainland-born), Colombia, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, India, Jamaica, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, Philippines, South Korea, United Kingdom (except Northern Ireland) and its dependent territories, and Vietnam.
Kenyan nationals were eligible to participate in the DV-2021 lottery.
