Details of DP Ruto’s meeting with Kenyans in Diaspora
Deputy President William Ruto has disclosed details of his meeting with a section of Kenyans living in the Diaspora.
Ruto in a series of tweets said that the meeting opened up a way for them to have a solid plan to make Kenya a better country for all.
He went on to say that he recognizes their critical economic and intellectual contribution to the development of Kenya and that he will have a platform for everyone in the diaspora to join the conversation.
The DP stated that in the virtual meeting, Kenyans from different parts of the world pledged to push for a shift in our politics to issue-based, policies and programmes.
“We recognize the critical and huge contribution — both economically and intellectually — that Kenyans in the Diaspora make in the development of our country.
On this account, we have begun a clear, inclusive and structured engagement with them to concretize and prosecute our broad and solid plans that will make Kenya a better and fairer country for everyone. We will open a platform for everyone in the diaspora to join the conversation.
Held a virtual conversation with Kenyans in the Diaspora drawn from across the world; undertook to advance the deliberation to configure our politics to issues, policies and programmes,” said William Ruto.
The Deputy President has been meeting players from different sectors and community leaders as he seeks to become president after Uhuru Kenyatta’s retirement in 2022.
