The Late Mrs. Jane Njambi Gachuhi (Gathecha)
We deeply regret to announce the untimely death of our beloved mum, Mrs. Jane Njambi Gachuhi (Gathecha) of Nakuru Town, Kenya. Jane was the dear wife of Mr. Samuel Gachuhi Gathecha, the former Nakuru Town Engineer. She passed on to glory on August 13, 2015. She was a mother to Josphine Kimani of PCEA Imani Church, Lowell and Nancy Muthoni Gachuhi of All Nations Prebyterian Church, Worcester, MA; Irene Wangui, Kennedy Gathecha, Herman Kariuki and Bernard Ndungu, all of Kenya. She was mother in law to Eva. John Kimani Nyaga of PCEA Imani church, Lowell. She was also a sister to Rev. Mary Githiga of Texas (806 471 5035) and sister in law to Bishop Dr. John Githiga of Amarillo TX.
Jane was a member of PCEA Nakuru West Parish (Suburb). She was a long standing member of the PCEA Woman’s Guild until her death. Jane was undergoing treatment for the last few months but succumbed to her illness after a battle well fought. She is survived by her husband, Mr. Samuel Gichuhi Gathecha, her 6 children and 13 grandchildren. She died at an early age of 69 years. Jane will be buried on Monday, August 24, at Turi Farmers,Molo.
Imani Church, the family and friends are meeting at Eva. and Mrs. John Nyaga’s residence for prayers every evening at 6 pm. The address: 8 West St., Lowell, MA 01850. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 16, 2015 at PCEA Imani Church, Lowell (117 Perry St, Lowell, MA 01852) at 3 pm. Members of the Woman’s Guild are encouraged to wear their attire to honor the passing of one of their own, the Late Mrs. Jane Gachuhi.
You are all welcome and your kind donations will be highly appreciated. The family in Lowell is traveling to Kenya for the funeral and burial rites next week. In our Kenyan church and community tradition, let us stand with and support this family during this their time of need.
