19.5M registered voters to verify their details
The much awaited inspection and audit of 19.5 million Kenyans registered as voters kicks-off Thursday countrywide as the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission- IEBC embarks on cleaning the voters register a crucial exercise meant to eliminate ghost voters.
The commission has deployed 21,000 clerks to verify the register in the month long exercise through the Kenya integrated election management system which will capture voters details and identify any anomalies before the poll.

The voter verification exercise will run concurrently with the audit of the voters roll by audit firm KPMG to give credibility to the much contested voters register.
