We are coming together as a community to support our brother, Peter Gichuhi, during one of the most difficult seasons of his life.
Peter has called Lowell, Massachusetts, home for nearly 30 years. Today, he is facing the immense challenges of homelessness and a recent diagnosis of Stage IV head and neck cancer. These circumstances have placed an overwhelming emotional, physical, and financial burden on Peter and his loved ones.
Peter is currently receiving treatment at Lowell General Hospital. His medical team has strongly advised that he remain close to the hospital throughout his treatment so that he can access immediate care in the event of a medical emergency.
Peter’s family is urgently seeking financial assistance and affordable rental housing where he can live with his mother and sister. Their presence will provide the daily care, encouragement, and support he desperately needs while undergoing treatment.
Peter’s sister, Catherine, has left her family in Canada to stand by her brother during this difficult time. Peter’s mother is also traveling from Kenya to support her son as the family faces this battle together.
We humbly appeal to the Kenyan community, friends, well-wishers, and all people of goodwill to assist in any way possible.
Together, we can help Peter face this challenge with dignity, hope, courage, and strength.
