Trump Nominates Senior U.S. Diplomat Henry Wooster as Next Ambassador to Kenya

U.S. President Donald Trump has nominated veteran diplomat Henry Wooster to serve as the next United States Ambassador to Kenya, according to a list of nominations formally submitted to the U.S. Senate.

The announcement was made on Tuesday June 2 as part of a new batch of diplomatic appointments that now awaits Senate confirmation before Wooster can officially assume the position in Nairobi.

According to the White House, Wooster is a Career Member of the Senior Foreign Service holding the rank of Minister Counsellor, one of the highest levels within the U.S. diplomatic corps.
