The heartwarming story of the girlfriend to the Chokoraa who returned 200k

A street urchin made news when he picked a stranger’s KSh 200k and gave it back 

– Vincent Omondi warmed Kenyans hearts with his huge heart but what has caught our attention is his girlfriend’s story

The two started dating while Vincent was still employed and had his whole life together before everything came tumbling down.

Speaking to KTN on Friday, March 10, Omondi said his girlfriend has been there even through all the difficulties and are still together.

“She told me i will follow you even if we sleep on the streets we will stick together,” he said.

And truly, she followed him but due to hardship of life they both sank into the world of drug abuse after Omondi fell into depression.

The alumnus of St. Paul’s University finally spoke about the incident saying the owner was so shocked with his kind act.

He revealed drug abuse started because of peer pressure and used it often to ease hunger while on the streets.

The alumnus of his Chianda secondary school, Bondo and St. Paul’s university have come together and set up an M-Changa account to raise funds to make his transformation possible.
