President William Ruto is among the several leaders attending the funeral of former Baringo Senator William Cheptumo.Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi and other Cabinet Secretaries are also present.
The service is being held at Arap Moi Secondary School grounds in Bartabwa, Baringo County.
A police helicopter was used to transport the casket containing the remains of Cheptumo from Nairobi to the home.
Large screens have been mounted outside Baringo County Assembly, Kabarnet Market, and Kabartonjo centre for the residents to follow the proceedings.
Cheptumo died February 15, 2025, at the age of 57 while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Nairobi.
