Rev. Gideon Robi Installed as Assistant Bishop for Diaspora Area at AIC Milimani Church

Diaspora Affairs PS Roseline Njogu hails the church’s vital role in uniting and supporting Kenyans abroad as clergy commit to strengthened pastoral outreach.
Diaspora Affairs PS, Ms. Roselyne Njogu today witnessed the installation of Rev. Gideon Ndirangu Robi from Atlanta, Georgia, as the new Assistant Bishop for the Diaspora Area at the AIC Milimani Church, Nairobi.
Speaking at the event, the PS encouraged the church to continue offering spiritual guidance and practical support to Kenyans abroad, highlighting that for many, the church serves as a vital anchor of identity and stability.

As the Kenyan diaspora continues to grow, Ms. Njogu noted, institutions like the church are essential in fostering unity and upholding the values that connect Kenyans globally. She described Rev. Robi’s installation as a pledge to serve and stand with the diaspora community with renewed purpose.
The service, presided over by Bishop Dr. Stephen Mairori, brought together clergy and congregants for a day of worship and reflection on the church’s expanding role among Kenyans overseas.

Also in attendance was Ms. Hanna Wendot Cheptumo , Cabinet Secretary for Gender, Culture, the Arts and Heritage, whose presence affirmed the government’s collaboration with faith-based organizations in addressing diaspora affairs.
