Ways to keep yourself from safe from the CORONAVIRUS /Covid 19 include

  • Wash your hands often and thoroughly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
  • Avoid touching your mouth, nose, and eyes with hands.
  • Cover your coughs or sneezes with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands).
  • Clean and disinfect surface areas frequently.
  • Remain out of congregate settings, avoid mass gatherings, and maintain social distancing of at least 6 feet.
  • Avoiding close contact with people who are sick.
  • Staying home from work or school if you are sick.
  • Gov. Charlie Baker closed all child care centers, day care programs, restaurant and bars and prohibited public gatherings of 25 people or more as of Wednesday CDC gatherings of no more than 10 People or more

Call your health care professional if you have a fever, cough, or difficulty breathing, or have been in close contact with a person known to have COVID-19.

  • 256 confirmed cases
  • 97 are associated with the Biogen conference
  • 26 are “travel related”
  • 38 are “local transmission”
  • 95 are “under investigation”
  • 27 people have been hospitalized
  • 42 cases have been reported in Boston
  • 100 cases in Middlesex County
  • 51 cases in Suffolk County, including the first confirmed case
  • 45 cases in Norfolk County
  • 17 cases in Berkshire County
  • 14 cases in Essex County
  • 10 cases in Worcester County
  • 5 in Plymouth County
  • 2 in Barnstable County
  • 11 in Berkshire County
  • 5 in Bristol County
  • 2 in Hampden County
  • 119 are female; 137 are male
  • 2,054 individuals, to date, have been self-quarantined
  • 886 of those people have completed a 14-day at-home monitoring process
  • 1,168 people are still undergoing at-home monitoring
