Nanok takes Council of Governors mantle from Munya

Turkana Governor Josephat Nanok is the new Council of Governors Chairman.

Nanok replaces Meru Governor Peter Munya whose term has come to an end after serving for two years.

In elections held this afternoon, Taita Taveta Governor John Mruttu will retain the deputy chairman post while William Kabogo of Kiambu is the chief whip.

Munya was elected as chairman two years ago and among his duties, he was in charge of the council’s fund contributed by county governments and donor organisations.
