Malava MP Malulu Injendi is dead

The country has been thrown into mourning following the passing of Malava Constituency Member of Parliament, Hon. Moses Malulu Injendi.

MP Malulu died on Monday while undergoing treatment at Malulu at Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi.

The Clerk of the National Assembly confirmed the news on Monday, but was yet to issue an official statement by press time.

Malulu was the Member of Parliament for Malava Constituency and Vice Chairman of the Departmental Committee on Education and Research.

Injendi was serving his third term as an MP, having served continuously since 2013 (11th Parliament). He was a dedicated and passionate representative who served his constituents with unwavering commitment and integrity.

Tributes have continued to pour in from fellow lawmakers, constituents, and leaders across the political divide.

Saboti MP Caleb Amisi mourned the MP condoling with the family, friends, and the constituency of Injendi.

“Mhesh has rested. Go well, Malulu. My condolences to the family and his constituents.”

ODM Director of Communications Philip Etale tweeted, “Hon. Injendi Malulu, a cool man. It is well.”

The National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wah mourned Malulu as a friend and colleague.

“It is with heartfelt sympathy that we mourn a colleague and friend, Hon. Moses Malulu Injendi. His dedication to serving Malava and his unwavering commitment to uplifting his constituents were an inspiration to all who had the privilege of working alongside him in Parliament,” Ichung’wah said.

“I was honored to serve with him and will always remember his passion, integrity, and tireless advocacy for the people. His legacy will continue to resonate in the hearts of those he touched. During this difficult time, my deepest condolences go to his family, loved ones, and the entire Malava community. May they find strength in the memories of his remarkable life and service.”
