Kenya’s Global Conversation Grows: Dr. Matiang’i to Address Chatham House Today

Today at 5pm EAT, Jubilee Party Presidential Candidate Dr. Fred Matiang’i will address Chatham House in London.

Chatham House is one of the world’s most respected policy institutes. Founded in 1920 after World War I, it brings together global leaders, scholars and policymakers to discuss international affairs, diplomacy and global challenges. Over the years, many presidents, prime ministers and influential thinkers from around the world have spoken there, making it an important platform for serious global conversations.

Kenya also has a history with this institution. One of the earliest and most notable Kenyans to speak there was Tom Mboya, who addressed the institute in the early 1960s as Kenya prepared for independence.

In more recent years, other Kenyan leaders who have spoken at Chatham House include former President Uhuru Kenyatta, Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga and William Ruto.

Today, Dr. Fred Matiang’i joins that list, taking Kenya’s conversation to a global stage.
