Kenyan Model Immaculate Wachera Finishes First Runner-Up at Miss BRICS 2026

Immaculate Wachera, a Kenyan-born model based in Austria, finished as first runner-up at the Miss BRICS Beauty Contest 2026 held in Russia, where she represented Bolivia.

Wachera competed against more than 40 contestants from BRICS nations and stood out for her poise, communication skills, and cultural awareness. Judges commended her ability to present herself with confidence and clarity throughout the competition.

This result marks a further step in her growing international career. In 2025, she represented Kenya at the Miss Europe Continental competition and has since been associated with the Miss Charm Continental contest. Alongside her pageant work, she uses digital platforms, including YouTube, to share personal experiences and engage with a wider audience.

Her decision to compete for Bolivia while maintaining her Kenyan identity reflects the experiences of many in the diaspora. Wachera has continued to express a strong connection to Kenya, while also embracing opportunities abroad. Her performance in Russia demonstrated how contestants can represent more than one cultural background within international competitions.

The Miss BRICS contest provided a platform for Wachera to highlight her adaptability and confidence. Her success aligns with broader changes in pageantry, where organisers increasingly value communication, cultural understanding, and public engagement in addition to appearance.
