Kenyan Man Nahashon Wanyoike Found Dead in Seattle After Weeks-Long Search

Nahashon Kamau Wanyoike, known as “Kama”, has been found dead in Seattle, Washington.
His body was recovered at Green Lake Park, where his vehicle had earlier been located during the search. The Kenyan community in the United States and abroad is mourning his death, which concludes a case that had prompted widespread concern.
Wanyoike was employed at Alpha Supported Living in Shoreline and was reported missing on 15 March while travelling to work. He last spoke to a friend in what appeared to be a routine call, but he never arrived at his workplace.
In the days before his disappearance, he had visited his mother in Shoreline. That visit has since taken on added significance for his family. After he went missing, relatives, friends, and volunteers organised search efforts across nearby areas, while appeals for information circulated on social media.
Local authorities were also involved in the search. Following the recovery of his body, tributes have been shared by colleagues and friends, who describe him as a dedicated employee and a kind individual committed to his family.
His death has had a profound impact on his relatives, including his mother, his sister Milly Nduta, and his 18-year-old son, who had publicly appealed for information during the search. Authorities are expected to continue investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.
