Kenyan Man Arrested, Charged with Raping an Elderly Patient at a Nursing Home in Virginia
A Kenyan man has been charged with the rape of an elderly dementia patient at a nursing home in Virginia.
Thomas Kamau Nganga, 44, was charged with the rape of a 72-year-old woman at Lexington Rehabilitation and Healthcare in Henrico County, Virginia where he worked as a nurse.
Henrico County Police were called early Tuesday morning and arrested Nganga after a co-worker reportedly found Nganga forcing himself on the victim.
“You can imagine how sickened and shocked I was, we all were when we heard this,” said Jonathan Hamilton, the administrator of the facility.
Nganga is a married father of four, according to court documents. He is being held at Henrico County jail on felony rape charges with no bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on December 18th.
