Kenya Senate Delegation Led by Speaker Kingi Welcomed by Ambassador Kerich for U.S. Legislative Summit in Boston

Kenya’s Ambassador to the U.S., H.E. David Kiplagat Kerich, Welcomes Senate Delegation Led by Speaker Rt. Hon. Amason Jeffah Kingi to the U.S. for National Conference of State Legislators in Boston
Washington, D.C. – Kenya’s Ambassador to the United States, His Excellency David Kiplagat Kerich, officially received the Speaker of the Senate of the Republic of Kenya, Rt. Hon. Amason Jeffah Kingi, and his distinguished delegation of Senators on a working visit to the United States. The delegation is in Boston, Massachusetts, to attend the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) Annual Legislative Summit, taking place from August 5–8, 2025.
The NCSL Legislative Summit brings together U.S. state legislators, staff, foreign dignitaries, and policy experts for dialogue on best practices in governance, legislation, and inter-parliamentary cooperation. Kenya’s Senate delegation is engaging with American lawmakers and international counterparts to build institutional linkages, explore legislative innovation, and deepen Kenya-U.S. relations at the subnational level.
Ambassador Kerich welcomed the Senators to the United States with gratitude and encouragement, emphasizing the importance of such diplomatic exchanges in strengthening democratic institutions and enhancing bilateral cooperation between Kenya and the United States.
“We are honored to host Kenya’s Senate delegation, led by Rt. Hon. Speaker Kingi. This visit reflects our commitment to forging stronger ties with U.S. legislative institutions and learning from diverse governance systems for the benefit of our people,” said H.E. Kerich.
During their visit, the Senators are scheduled to participate in high-level meetings with U.S. state legislators and staff, interact with diaspora communities, and explore areas of collaboration in education, technology, devolution, and economic development.
