Gachagua Rallies Kenyans in Diaspora Against Ruto Administration

By Jack Gor, US Journalist
Former Kenyan Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, currently on a two-month tour in the United States, has called upon Kenyans in the diaspora to support his initiative aimed at limiting President William Ruto to a single term in office. Addressing Kenyans in Boston, Massachusetts, Gachagua criticized the Ruto administration, alleging corruption, nepotism, and human rights abuses against young people.
Gachagua, who had a public falling out with President Ruto after just two years in office, leading to his impeachment as Deputy President, urged Kenyans abroad to register to vote and engage in the country’s leadership matters. He promised to build a broader coalition with like-minded leaders to support his efforts to remove President Ruto from power, with the goal of providing Kenya with more effective leadership.
Gachagua’s US visit is being closely guarded due to security concerns. He is scheduled to spend two months in the US before returning to Kenya, where he plans to continue challenging the government. Since his departure from Kenya two weeks ago, the political landscape has seen a notable shift.
