Death Announcement of The Late Anthony Kiarie Boro (March 23, 1973 – June 14, 2025)

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Anthony Kiarie Boro, on Saturday, June 14, 2025. Tony bravely battled illness for five months at Lowell General and Tufts Medical Centers before succumbing.
Tony arrived in the United States on Christmas Eve, 2024. Within a few weeks, he fell ill. Despite undergoing a long treatment process, he passed away on June 14. Tony’s big dreams were cut short by death, after waiting patiently for 17 years to relocate to this country. Since he became sick soon after his arrival, he did not have the opportunity to meet many people and is therefore little known in the community.
Anthony was the beloved son of Polly Wanjiru Kiarie of Lowell, MA. He was the father of two daughters, Stephanie (Kenya) and Shamim (USA), and the brother of Julius Maina Muturi. He was also a loving uncle to Abdul, Bilqees, Polly Maina, and Caleb.
A memorial service in celebration of Tony’s life will be held on Sunday, June 29, 2025, at Ushindi Presbyterian Church (108 Middlesex St #6, North Chelmsford, MA 01863) at 3:00 p.m. The family kindly requests your support and prayers to help offset funeral and travel expenses, which total 30,000.
Tony will be laid to rest at Simba Hills, Kwale, on his family farm. The burial date will be communicated soon. Three family members will accompany the body for burial.
In the spirit of Kenyan generosity and love, let us come together to help the Polly family lay their beloved Tony to rest. What affects one affects us all.
Prayer meetings are being held daily at Polly’s residence, 30 Phoebe Ave., Lowell, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m.
