CS Farida Karoney’s Father Dies in Motorbike Accident
The family of Lands Cabinet Secretary Farida Karoney is mourning the death of her father on Tuesday afternoon, October 13.
State House confirmed that Mzee Edward Kiprotich Karoney passed away in a road accident involving a motorcycle.
He was knocked dead while crossing a road in Kapsabet town.
“President Uhuru Kenyatta has sent a message of comfort to the family of Mzee Edward Kiprotich Karoney who passed away in a road accident this evening. Mzee Karoney, 74, was Lands Cabinet Secretary Farida Karoney’s father,” stated State House in a statement.
Karoney was appointed by Uhuru to head the Lands Ministry in 2018 to replace the then CS Jacob Kaimenyi.
