Couple celebrates 82 years of marriage
It is not every day that one hears of a couple who have been together long enough to have witnessed nearly 20 inauguration ceremonies or lived about eight decades. Well, recently, a particular duo from Charlotte in North Carolina, USA, who have been together for 82 years and still counting made the news!
D.W. Williams and his wife, Willie Williams, recently took to celebrating their birthdays as well as their 82nd year of marriage. The couple has been recorded as being in one of the longest marriages yet. It was reported Williams is 103-years old while his bae of life is 100, indicating they have been married since they were young adults.
As a matter of fact, he must have been 21 while his lifetime bride must have been 18 when they got hitched. To celebrate this beautiful union whose rarity cannot be overstated, family members threw a party for them at First Mayfield Memorial Baptist in North Charlotte.
