ClaireJane Kagure Muraya (CJ’s) Medical Fundraiser to help C.J with Strip Craniectomy in Dallas,Texas to allow normal growth of the forehead skull bone

Please join me raise funds for my friend Josphine Muraya to help offset medical bills incurred by her newborn daughter Claire Jane Kagure.

This brave and beautiful baby girl, fondly called CJ, was born on September 4th, 2019.

She started life healthy, but at two months, her forehead started swelling and looking like a triangle.  Following multiple diagnostic exams, She was diagnosed with a congenital birth defect called Metopic Suture Craniosynostosis, also called Trigonocephaly, which means a triangular-shaped head.

This condition is a birth defect resulting from the premature closure (fusion) of the forehead sutures before birth.
After consultations, including a 2nd opinion, Neurosurgeons concluded her daughter needed immediate surgery called Strip Craniectomy to allow normal growth of the forehead skull bone.
Following a successful surgery on 12/13/19, CJ is now required to wear a helmet 23 hours a day for the next 12 months to help with the molding and shaping of the skull.  CJ’s mom Josphine is also on unpaid medical leave so she can take care of her daughter.

As expected, this family has incurred significant medical expenses that will only continue to increase as well as daunting living expenses.
