We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Esther Wanjiku Gitau Mwaura, affectionately known as Mama Nduta. Esther was the beloved wife of Joseph Mwaura Waweru, and devoted mother to Rosemary Nduta, George Waweru, Isaac Gitau, Michael Kariuki, and Peter Kariuki. She was a beloved daughter of the late Pastor Isaac Gitau & Monica Gitau, a sister to Margaret Wambui, Eunice Mumbi, Daniel Maina and Jane Wangari all of Kenya.

Esther and her family are cherished members of the Well of Worship Center and the Women of Hope community.
As a devout Christian, Esther served her church as a Church Elder, Intercessor and also as the church Treasurer.

For the past two years, she bravely fought Stage 4 cancer with remarkable courage and unwavering faith. Despite her strength and resilience, the rapid progression of the illness and its complications ultimately led to her passing on Monday, March 30th 2026.
Even in her suffering, Esther’s compassion for others never faded. Quietly and faithfully, she generously supported the church and uplifted those in need—a powerful reflection of her generosity, humility, and deep love for her community.

With her passing, her family is not only grieving an immeasurable loss but also facing significant financial burdens from two years of continuous chemotherapy, surgeries, and now funeral expenses.

In this time of profound grief, let us rally to uplift the family through prayers, presence, and financial support. Your kindness will help ease their burden and remind them that they are not alone and that they are surrounded by love.
