Caroli Omondi slaps Junet at state house – The Standard
According to the Standard , Caroli Omondi slapped Junet at State House.
The paper claim, Junet demanded to know why Caroli had accessed State House without his permission.
“I was at State House talking to head of civil service Felix Koskei. When Junet found me in deep conversation with Koskei, he got angry and asked how I got there without his blessings,” Caroli told The Standard.
According to the paper, Caroli told Junet that he was in a discussion with Koskei , and would talk to him later. Junet got enraged and allegedly told Caroli that any Luo leader must pass through him before accessing State House.
“This upset me so I held him by the collar and gave him a hot slap. He was saved by a senior ODM female official,” Caroli told the Standard.
Junet allegedly went to report the matter to President Ruto who ignored him.
I don’t know why l think this story sounds like fiction or propaganda.
If it is true, then State House should release CCTV footage . The house on the hill should be a place of honour, not a place where leaders squabble and exchange fists.
The residence is a powerful national symbol of continuity and authority, and it would therefore be so embarrassing if the incident happened.
