Cabinet approves KSh6.9Billion for Naivasha Special Economic Zone

Today, the cabinet has approved a budget for the development of the Naivasha Special Economic Zone. The funds will also finance phase 2A of the standard gauge railway. Naivasha Special Economic zone will host facilities such as Inland Container depot and a Railway Marshaling Yard.

Additionally, it will have infrastructure Logistics zone and a Public Utility area. These facilities will help to process cargo transported from the port through the Standard Gauge railway.
