Announcing The Passing of Francis Waweru Njoroge in Newark, Delaware, USA
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Father, Grandfather, and Great-Grandfather, Francis Waweru Njoroge, in Newark, Delaware, USA. He peacefully departed this life at the age of 92 on September 14, 2025.
Francis was a devoted husband to the late Grace Wanjiku Waweru, and a loving father to Nancy Cece of New Castle, Delaware, the late John Njoroge, David Kagicha of Kenya, Eliud Ngugi, Agnes Ngugi, and Nellie Waweru, all of Newark, Delaware, Serah Waweru of Middletown, Delaware as well as Caroline Waweru and Mercy Waweru, both of Kenya.
He was a cherished father-in-love to Paul Cece, Jecinta Njoroge, Ngugi Kiarie, Oscar Mungai Njoroge, and Fred Kiarie as well as many others in Kenya.
Francis was a proud Grandfather and Great-Grandfather to many in both the USA and Kenya, including the late Francis Waweru Cece of Delaware.
Francis was a devoted and loving patriarch of the Waweru family. He will be fondly remembered for his gentle heart, wise counsel, and the boundless love he gave to all who knew him.
In honoring his great legacy, we invite you to join us for daily fellowships beginning Monday, September 15, at 7:00 pm at 6 Battle Drive, Newark, Delaware, and via Zoom (link to follow).
