Amnesty Kenya to give address on June 2024 protesters’ killings

Amnesty International Kenya executive director Houghton Irungu will today hold a media briefing on the Call for Accountability for the killing of protesters during the June 25, 2024, protests.
Irungu will also preside over the launch of Amnesty International’s 2024/25 Annual Report.
The event will take place at Rex Masai Assembly Hall, Amnesty International Office, Ground Floor, 197 Lenana Place, from 11 am.
Amnesty International Kenya said it will address the findings of the Blood Parliament as part of the launch of its annual report 2024/25, highlighting patterns of police brutality, impunity and the urgent need for accountability and reform.
Protests in June 2024 were because of the Finance Bill 2024.
British Council Kenya to host launch of UK/Kenya Season 2025
The British Council Kenya will host the launch of the UK/Kenya Season 2025.
This is an initiative aimed at strengthening creativity and innovation through arts, culture, heritage and education between Kenya and the UK.
It will be held at the British Council Kenya, 5 Upper Hill Road, Nairobi, from 7 am to 9 am.
