Aicha Evans, CEO of Zoox, sold to Amazon for $1.3B

Aicha Evans is a trailblazing technology leader who has made history in the world of autonomous vehicles. Born in Senegal and raised in France, she moved to the U.S. to study computer engineering, graduating from The George Washington University in 1996.
After more than a decade of leadership roles at Intel, where she rose to Chief Strategy Officer, Evans became CEO of Zoox, a pioneering self-driving technology company. In 2020, she guided Zoox through its acquisition by Amazon for approximately $1.3 billion, one of the largest autonomous vehicle deals to date.
Today, under her leadership, Zoox is building a fully autonomous robotaxi service, including pilot operations in Las Vegas, reshaping how people imagine the future of mobility.
She continues to inspire as one of the few Black women leading billion-dollar technology companies, breaking barriers and opening doors for the next generation of innovators.
