A Day of Unity and Service at the HRP Feeding Session

The HRP Feeding Session was a long-awaited event that finally came to life with immense joy and purpose. It was heartwarming to witness a diverse alliance come together in service and compassion. The Greater Lowell Community Health Center (GLCHC) played a key role with their Narcan training, while DHH, Lucy Waweru, and Nick Njenga ensured there was more than enough food for everyone. Life Dots generously provided tents and tables, creating a welcoming atmosphere for all in attendance. This meaningful collaboration with Homeless Reform Project (HRP) proved to be both impactful and memorable.

Adding a special grace to the event was the presence of Bishop Leonard from Kenya, who was warmly received by Sam Mwaura from Samrack and Brother Gachuki from St. Stephen’s Church in Dracut, MA. The event began with a heartfelt word of prayer by Kate Stanley, setting a powerful tone for the day. Attendees were treated to delicious meals and refreshing drinks, surrounded by a spirit of joy, music, dancing, and praise to the Lord.

HRP extends heartfelt thanks to all who contributed financially, in kind, or through their service. Special gratitude goes to those who willingly and sacrificially cleaned the park before and after the event. Sam Mwaura is especially appreciated for overseeing the entire operation, including the issuance of certificates to the youth who consistently participate in community service.

A warm thank you also goes to the DHH team, led by Sister Levenia. Their presence and support were vital. DHH is an organization with programs that are worthy of both your support and participation.
