11 Companies to Be Granted Licenses to Export Coffee From Kenya [Full List]
Eleven companies have been proposed for licenses to export coffee from Kenya.
In a gazette notice dated Friday, November 21, 2025, the Agriculture and Food Authority (AFA) stated that, pursuant to sections 20(6), (7), and (8) of the Crops Act, it proposes to grant licenses to the following applicants:
“NOTICE is given that, pursuant to sections 20(6), (7), and (8) of the Crops Act, the Agriculture and Food Authority proposes to grant a license to the following applicants,” read the notice.
11 Companies to be Granted Licenses by AFA to Export Coffee from Kenya
According to the Authority, some of the companies to be issued licenses include Beams Agri Exporters Limited, whose license covers coffee exports, imports, and value-addition activities such as roasting and packaging, located at Five Star, Mugi Road, Nairobi City County. Another company is Shashi Merchants Limited, licensed for coffee exports, imports, and value addition, including roasting and packaging, and located at Grain Belt Godowns, off Thika Road, Kiambu County.
Below is the full list of the 11 companies that are to be granted licenses by the Agriculture Food Authority.

Authority Issues Guidelines for Objections
The Authority further stated that any objections to the proposed grant of licenses should be submitted in writing to the Agriculture and Food Authority, Coffee Directorate at the Coffee Plaza Building, Exchange Lane, off Haile Selassie Avenue, or sent via post to P.O. Box 30566-0100, Nairobi, within fourteen (14) days from the date of this notice.
Objections must clearly include the name, address, and telephone number of the person or entity objecting, the reasons for the objection, and must be signed by the objector.
The Agriculture and Food Authority stated that it intends to issue licenses to applicants who have complied with the Crops Act, 2013, the Crops (Coffee) (General) Regulations, 2019, and any other applicable laws by December 5, 2025.
